BOOK VS. MOVIE

The movie, Marley and me is basic on the book of John Grogan which is the true story.
So the movie and the book have many differences and similarities.

  • A differences is :

The movie tells and shows me where John works but the book does not tell me directly only imply. Many of part in the book, the author make me to imagine. This is why I should use my imaginations while I was reading this book. .

Also the book contains enough narrative but the movie emphasis every event. For instance Marley makes Jenny so upset that she wants him gone in the movie, but they don't have that kind of event in the book.

  • A similarity would be :

  • In the both book and movie, they have same members of family (3children).
Another similarity is that in the book Marley pasts away from a stomach twist and it happens to Marley in the movie, too.

Both explain in the same way Marley’s personal character is
explained in the same way by both book and movie. He eats anything, cries nonstop during thunderstorms and endless shredded sofas.

In my opinion, the most important massage from the author through the story of both book and movie is Marley reversed his impression to the world’s purest dog and famous.

  3. I am watching the movie again at 2:00 am because I loved it so much. I love the fact that even though Marley could be a pain, he became a member of the family and was a blessing to them. My dogs are the same way!
